About the event
Generationally, there has been an ongoing communal strain on both the external and internal relationships for creating spaces for conversations around raising Black Boys given the current climate of our global society. Additionally, it has become important to create and hold spaces where we can holistically, authentically, and restoratively have dialogue around issues that impact our Black youth, particularly Black boys. As a result, Black Men Heal and the Men Raising Black Boys team are intentionally creating space in the form of a conference to focus on crucial and courageous conversations that center on individual introspection and collective accountability for all Men Raising Black Boys (MR.BB's).

The MR. BB Conference will feature a diverse lineup of panelists, mentors, and educators from across the country, including former Penn State and NFL Defensive Lineman, Jordan Hill, Dr. Tony Keith and the Ed Emcee Academy, Alphonso Nathan LPC aka "Phonz the Therapist," Former Akron and Pittsburgh Running Back, Jawon Chisholm, and more to be announced! The day-long event will include workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and interactive sessions designed to address key topics such as communication, mentorship, education, and mental health.
About Men Raising Black Boys (MR. BB):
Men Raising Black Boys (MR. BB) was founded in 2023 by Corey Dupree, a father, educator, and advocate for Black male empowerment. The organization aims to provide support, resources, and guidance to men of all races and ethnicities involved in the upbringing and mentorship of Black boys, including biological fathers, adoptive parents, foster parents, mentors, and educators.
